Trusted professionals in the community for over 25 years, our doctors and staff have provided quality professional care to tens of thousands of Orange County residents. Our patients range in age from infants to over 100 years old, and include many physicians, other eye doctors, professional athletes as well as handicapped persons, members of the clergy, the privileged as well as the disadvantaged. Our doctors are licensed with the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, the California State Board of Optometry and are certified to treat and manage diseases of the eyes using therapeutic pharmacological agents. Our office provides a full range of professional eye care services, including the co-management of LASIK, PRK, cataracts and implantable contact lenses. Serving all of Orange County and beyond, we are open 6 days a week with an on-site lab for eyeglass, sunglass and contact lens dispensing. We are members of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association and are affiliates of Harvard Eye Associates and Nvision Laser Eye Centers.
Dr. Michael Goldman
completed his postgraduate studies and residency training at the University of California Berkeley, School of Optometry. As part of his specialty training in contact lenses he served as a clinical instructor and conducted extensive clinical research. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of Houston, College of Optometry. He also received his Diploma in Optometry from the Technikon Witwatersrand School of Optometry in South Africa. Having worked in various optometric and ophthalmology settings, Dr Goldman has practiced optometry since 1985. Dr Goldman has conducted clinical research in contact lens design, laser vision correction and ocular side-effects of systemic medications. Dr. Mike is married to Dr. Ruth, they enjoy spending time with their four children.
Dr. Ruth Goldman
received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri, St Louis School of Optometry, where she received her graduating class award for most outstanding clinical skills. She has completed several advanced externship programs specializing in pediatric optometry and diabetic retinopathy. After practicing in a busy ophthalmology setting she served as the Managing Optometrist at one of the nation's top optical stores. Dr Ruth Goldman also served on the Quality Assurance Committee for a national eye wear retailer. Dr Goldman has practiced at the Optometric Center since 1997. An accomplished flautist, Dr Ruth is married to Dr Mike and enjoys being mom to their four active teenagers.

Our doctors are affiliated with the Illumination Foundation, providing numerous free eye exams to the homeless and disadvantaged. We have donated free services and hundreds of eyeglasses to the needy.
If you have any old or unused glasses that you or family members no longer use, please bring them in at your next visit. We will make sure that they are used to benefit people in need!
